Born in Eugene, OR, singer/songwriter Mat Kearney began his musical life history at California State University, Chico, where he studied lit and played on the soccer team. After complementary his junior class, Kearney went to Nashville with quaker and producer Robert Marvin, with the aim of only staying the summer to lay down a few songs. However, later the offers for recording deals began coming in, Kearney distinct to persist in Tennessee to hard follow euphony.
